Where does it say its a sauce? It just says spinach and parm
okay that makes sense
Ok making Spinach Parmesan Pasta ans the ingredients are:
8 oz spaghetti or pasta of your choice 3 tablespoons butter 2 cloves garlic, minced 6 cups packed baby spinach 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
why is there no sauce? or the garlic and butter is enough?
Where does it say its a sauce? It just says spinach and parm
okay that makes sense
Pasta water + parm = sauce
You forgot the butter in the equation. Also, if you keep the temperature low enough, the butter can melt without breaking the emulsion, which makes it a lot easier to incorporate the cheese and you just need to add enough pasta water to keep the emulsion from breaking.
okay that makes sense
Alfredo
The garlic and butter are meant to be the sauce, yes. A heavier sauce would disguise the flavors of the spinach and pasta and Parmesan.
And starchy pasta water.
That's a good amount of butter. Keep a little pasta water and you'll have a sauce
Yes the butter and the parm makes the sauce. The spinach will give off some liquid too. Usually a recipe like this will recommend you hold back a cup or so of the pasta cooking water and add a bit at a time to help it come together.
yea they say hold back a little pasta water
Butter + parm + pasta water gives you a sauce
I assume you mix in pasta water
yea i'm gonna do that

I think it assumes you will make the pasta the traditional way, adding ladle after ladle of pasta water to the pasta as you saute it. The water, butter and parm will form an emulsion and boom...sauce.
I think that traditional Italian alfredo is simply pasta water and parmesan so I would guess that's how the sauce is made for this, though it is not named *alfredo* by this recipe typer.
3 tbsp. butter, 2 cloves minced garlic, 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, and some of the reserved water from cooking your pasta *is* the sauce.
okay thank you
No recipe source and no actual methodology. Mate, are people supposed to be psychic?
sorry
It's Alfredo (butter and Parm)
The sauce is created by the starch that leeches into the water while it's cooking the pasta so you don't drain that out and you mix in the other items and it'll become a sauce you can always add sauce if you want but no this creates a sauce just from the starchy water or should I say the starch that's in the water now
2 cloves of garlic is cute 😅
what do you mean it's not enough ?
The Cheese melts and makes the sauce
i'm using kraft grated parmesan cheese
