Social interaction
You can just hop in a party
The title says it all. Bg3 is immensely better, the soundtrack is better, the narrator is better and probably doesnt live in the basement. Better mechanics, better classes, and better spellcasting for true spellcasters. I dont understand the appeal of playing tabletop when you can for real

Bait used to be believable.
Oh look, Baldur's Bait.
Least obvious ragebait.
Why have sex when you can just jerk off?
gold
Redditor and sex in the same sentence
K
"when you can for real"? Also, this reads "I have no friends to play with me so therefore a single player game is better"
Bg3 has multiplayer capabilities

Why are you pretending to be stupid? What do *you* get out of this?
All publicity is good publicity
Social interaction lol. You do something with friend and people you want to hang out with except being in your room or basement and playing video games.
You can baldurs gate with your friends too
But what if I wanna flirt with the homies while rolling shiny click clack rocks?
You can do that in bg3 and walk around without clothes
cause it's boring
Goty btw
Can’t read. Too busy running my party through Resident Evil 2 Remake’s police station filled with variant zombies that have different abilities based on the race they were in life.
Some people have friends and like telling unique stories with them.
Why would you go to a concert when you have youtube?

Why not just play tabletop The title says it all. Tabletop is immensely freer, the soundtrack is the laughter of your friends, the narrator is your buddy and we don’t judge him for renting space in his parent’s place in this economy. Deeper mechanics, larger variety of classes, and better spellcasting for true spellcasters. I understand the appeal of BG3, but wouldn’t replace real human interaction with a video game
None of your friends are composers
It's okay to admit you can't think critically or creatively...
You have no counter argument besides an ad hominem
I think, the biggest reason is, that EVERY Video game limits the player to what the game makes possible and what not. The supported creativity in BG3 might be greater than in other games, but compared to tabletop games, it is still limited. In BG3, you cannot just break locks by filling them with water and freeze the water with the cantrip Shape Water. You cannot cast Darkness on the armour, you're wearing, so you can carry the magical darkness with you -- as a Warlock with Devil Sight. And most important: You cannot shape YOUR story. You can only shape the stories, the developers already prepared by programming them.
