Strut tower went on a vacation and had to be extradited back home and put on house arrest with metal bars.
I mean, that doesn't look completely terrible to me. Not going to fail.
This is the shock tower of a truck we are redoing the four link on because as well as this tower it looked about the same

Woof.. that poor Chevy
Props on knowing it’s a Chevy by this pic alone
Out of curiosity, why would you touch that if you weren't the person/shop that did that. Whoever did that owns the problem from here on out.
I mean, isn’t that just called running a business? They were hired to redo a four link suspension. The first step of re-doing is taking off the old.
When someone offers you enough money you work on anything. Just feel bad someone paid for this in the first place. Most of my work is fixing other shops work
Was the customer trying to save weight or something?
Are you really that shocked?
Yes, but I’m ready to spring into action
If it works, is it stupid?
/s for those doubting it.
I mean, they left the original shock tower as backup if the new one failed, right? That janky stuff on the lower right though
This really isn’t terrible work
Welds could definitely use some improvement. The design is a bit crude aswell.

Was this done for a solid axle swap or something? Very curious on the rational lol
It is a solid axle. Not sure if it was swapped but we are redoing the four link on it before this monstrosity of a death trap gets attacked
Uh still better than Chrysler welds, doubt it's a issue
