This reminds me of a video I watched of a wife hearing her husband recommending their flooring to a neighbor that was renovating their house. He said it was the best flooring because he hasn’t mopped since they moved in and it stays really clean. The wife was flabbergasted he never even considered she’s been cleaning the floors weekly.
I believe this was what really made me do a double take. It's not always because of lack of appreciation, sometimes people just don't know how much is going on in the background.
Or the guy whose wife says she’s so stressed with taking care of everything and he starts telling her she can relax, just put everything on the coffee table, it’ll magically get taken care of, and she’s standing there staring at him like “is this really where my life has gone? Really?” It’s satire but sometimes it seems like some men really do believe that kind of thing.
