In early 2026, after the US Department of Justice released the Epstein Files, German journalists (ZDF and Der Spiegel) found Michele’s name in the documents. According to their reporting, a model scout named Daniel Siad had offered her to Epstein multiple times around 2014. Siad allegedly sent photos of her to Epstein, asked for a flight ticket, and wrote something to the effect of “you’ll love her.”
Michele had always wanted to be a model. Her family says Siad approached her, complimented her, and offered to take photos, which is how they met.
Important: it’s not clear from the files whether Michele and Epstein ever actually met. That part is unproven.
Who is Siad?
Siad’s name appears roughly 1,800 times in the Epstein Files. He’s a Swedish-French model scout who worked across Europe. France was investigating him for suspected human trafficking and rape after five women filed complaints. He denied everything and said he wanted to give his side.

**1.** In July 2026, German prosecutors decided there wasn’t enough initial suspicion to formally investigate Michele’s case further.
**2.** Days before that, Siad was found dead in his home near Paris. His 28 year old flatmate reportedly found him in the kitchen. Prosecutors opened an inquiry into the cause of death and ordered an autopsy. Early reporting suggested a possible heart attack. He was 69. Crucially, he had not yet testified in the investigation against him.
Why this stands out:
This isn’t the first death connected to the French side of the Epstein investigation. Jean-Luc Brunel, another model agent and Epstein associate, was arrested in 2020 and found dead in his prison cell in 2022.
I’m not claiming Siad was killed, the autopsy isn’t public and a heart attack at 69 is entirely plausible. But the timing (dying before testifying, in a case that just got shut down on the German side) is the kind of thing that leaves a missing woman’s family with no answers.
