Not sure what you are expecting of them. Do you want them to replace all the seats? Remove all the screens and install some panels to cover up the huge holes that will be there? You are on a budget airline.

The quality of these displays is so bad, I always try to connect my iPad. Also it is easier to connect Bluetooth headphones with your own device
I always bring a small 3.5mm to Bluetooth adapter so I can use my AirPods on these IFE systems. They’re small and $20ish. Quality of the screen is usually garbage but they often have new movies that aren’t available anywhere else yet.

Seems reasonable NGL. In-flight entertainment has always sucked ass: the selection, the video quality, the audio quality. Now that you have your own screen and content, why even bother running it?
Depends on what you fly. In my experience united has some good options, while with lufthansa i have to comb through all of their offers to find 1 mediocre option i mostly end up skipping anyway, because it's not worth the hassle of connecting my device etc.
at least you get a usb port, some international flights (10+ hours) don't even give you that
