It seems you already have monochrome mode activated? If not, maybe give it a try? Don't blame yourself and quit cold turkey. Tell yourself you have 10 minutes of doing nothing then you can go on reddit, or only reddit 3 hours a day at the end. Dopamine addiction is so hard to get out off, give yourself time and be proud when it works, don't discourage when it does not, I believe in you.
The bigger concern is you didn't have anything else to do. I haven't been bored because of a lack of things to do in years. If you don't solve that you'll never fix this.
I get that, when I don’t have classes and finish my busy work at my job I end up scrolling on here, some of the gaming ones are cool and I always get a laugh out of ULPT but realistically I just love reading the drama between two people who have never met but they are acting like the winner of the battle over who’s right gets the others first born or some crap like that haha
