I'm sure this has happened to so many people but my in-laws and brother-in-laws are constantly making plans right during my LO's nap time. She is pretty consistent (naps from 12:30-2:30 every day) and honestly I know she would survive if she naps a bit late but I know it disrupts her bedtime and thus messes with my entire schedule. They know she naps mid-day and still only ever want to come over or have us go to plans during this time. It wouldn't be such a big deal if these plans didn't revolve around wanting to see her. And they literally are never on time either so I'm just sitting around trying to keep her awake and happy while I wait for them. Then they get offended when I cut the visit short or if she gets cranky. Like? She's a toddler who needs a nap? It's so ridiculous and I just need to vent.
Tell them NO. Your daughter's needs come first. Why are you keeping your baby awake when she is tired so she can entertain these people who care more about themselves than the child's needs. They are obviously selfish. Be selfish too. Start saying no.

You can just say no, some people are like this. With that said, I was always so concerned about schedule changes throwing off the whole day but in reality my kids always still went to bed at the same time.
