The lazy feeling is probably the useful signal in there. What goes quiet when you spend all day pushing work through AI is the deciding part: why this typeface, why this hierarchy, why the other route got dropped. That's also where the money sits on the hiring side. When we bring in design help, two people with a comparable portfolio end up on very different rates, and the split is who can sit in the client meeting and hold a decision under pressure without me in the room. Those people get paid roughly double and they get called back, because they take a whole layer of managing off the studio. Ask to be the one who presents the next project you work on. That's the skill that moves the number.
Actually I did that I’m currently taking over a logo project with brand guidelines and working on it fully from my own and I’m quite happy about it!
