Newbie here and sorry if the question has been asked. I could t find the answer.
Just bought a new Instant Pot Duo from Amazon. There’s only one clear ring came installed on the lid and upon further researching, some people are receiving two silicone rings in the box - One clear and one red as back up.
Is this still the case or I need to reach out to Instant Pot for an extra one?

I bought mine also 2 weeks ago, but it came with a single ring. I'll have to contact them, because I recall that there were supposed to be 2.

Yeah, I read on the manual recommending one seal for savory food and another one for sweet. I was thinking if they recommend that then they should have included two. After researching, most of people do receive two rings. It’s frustrating that they don’t have a standardized packaging. I almost thought mine could be refurbished and they forgot to put one in.
The listing doesn't tell you what the contents of the box are?
It doesn’t list everything, only the pot itself.

Btw, the idea of having the second different colored ring is not necessarily as a backup, but to have a separate ring for mild flavored food like making yogurt. the rings absorb and transfer some scent and taste of whatever you've cooked between dishes, noticeable to some people.
True, I certainly don’t want a curry flavored yogurt LOL
I’ve never noticed… but I’ve also started putting my ring in the dishwasher. Seems to keep it fitting better.
My red one is for highly-scented stuff, spiced foods etc. The clear one is for anything that doesn't have a big smell. Clear as mud?

It’s been awhile since I bought my Instant Pot Duo 3QT and it came with one ring. I saw others recommend a few rings and bought extra sealing rings separately. Truth be told, to date I haven’t used them. I do wash the lid and rinse around the rings. There’s a SLIGHT smell from tomatoes and garlic.
