I read several years ago that the most expensive US mail contract (per customer) is delivering to Little Diomede Island in Alaska. It is delivered by helicopter one day per week. They have to ship all heavy supplies in during warm weather when ocean conditions are better. If you forget something important that can't be delivered by helicopter, you have to wait until the next season.

Some info about it: It is not a residence. It is a hunters lodge used for Puffin hunting and also research. There is no electricity or running water. Regular people are not allowed to go to it; you must have permission from the land owners. There are popular myths that claim it is a billionaires bunker or owned by Bjork, neither are true.
