I was busy in the kitchen. I have 4 kids. 5, 3, almost 2, and 7 months. My 3 year old threw a fit because I wouldn’t change the show again. About 10-15 mins pass I come out to get them ready for bed. I can’t find her. Me and her sisters are yelling my her name. No response. I flip their heads look in closets everything. I’m panicking. I have all my neighbors check their cameras because my ring for some reason wasn’t recording everything. I didn’t think she could’ve got out.
I call the cops. Before I hung up with dispatch my oldest yells she found her. She was sleeping under a pile of folded blankets. I couldn’t even see her. She did skip nap so that kind of made sense. They still had to send cop out.
Cop came in didn’t even really look at my other 2 kids, took a pic of my 3 yr olds face. I’m sure they had her body cam on. She was wearing a dress no panties (idk why she took them off) but im like great. That’s great timing. Kicking herself around showing her self to everyone. Asked her height weight and kept asking me if she was in the spectrum or anything. She’s not. Then left.
I asked if I should expect a follow up the cop said it was up to her sergeant. Should I expect CPS? This was Thursday night. The whole incident was maybe 20-25 mins. I’m not too worried I know my kids have all they need and more, but if I were to be drug tested I would fail for thc. Very light smoker. Maybe once a twice a week after the kids are in bed. (FLORIDA)

A mother that neglected or didn’t care about her kids would not have called 911. I’d lay off the thc for a bit, but honestly wouldn’t worry too much. She’s ok, you’re ok. It’s going to be fine.
Yeah I’m not planning on using it for awhile for sure but thank you! I was worried maybe they think I got too many kids like dang can’t watch them all or what lol

I doubt it. I'm not in Florida but my neighbors son had a similar incident happen. He was 'missing' for 2 hours before they found him tucked behind some stuffed animals fast asleep. CPS never showed up for them.
2 hours I would’ve went crazy after I couldn’t find her for like 10-15 mins I was calling
Cops are supposed to document this so they aren't accused of negligence. I'm sure it's to show your kid is ok. I decided to sleep in the bottom of a dresser drawer and close it. Freaked out the whole neighborhood for a few hours. It happens sometimes. The fear is the worst part. If this happened more than once that's maybe a visit. You called yourself though and that makes a 1000% difference.
Florida generally doesn't care about THC, and this doesn't seem to warrant a drug test. My son got into my meds when he was 2.5, I called 911 immediately. CPS opened a case and quickly closed it. Didn't drug test, just checked the house, and made sure meds were put up safely.
Wow 4 kids under 5.. rough..
Yeah it’s alot lol
I’d probably stop smoking thc. It clouds your judgment and you need to be on point with all those kids. 4 under 5. Wowza. You’ve got your hands full lady.
How does it cloud your judgement?
I ended up in the hospital one night (7mp) for my 3rd pregnancy bc I was in so much pain, I smoked and still felt like I was dying, and my stupid ass told the nurse I smoked. Not even 2 hrs after he was delivered via planned cesarean, I get a call from CPS stating their was a claim open about smoking while pregnant, I replied "I literally just had him via cesarean", so they sent a case worker to the house 2 weeks later, and at 3mo old, that was it. I was never tested, and recieved notice 6mo later that the case was closed, this was ND (medical only)
We now have a code word for ‘seriously gtfo and tell me where you are’ bc this exact thing happened to me. He had an AMAZING hiding spot in a basket in a closet.
We did it too after an incident. We ask for a cuckoo. We use/ practice the word during hide and seek.
If FL CPS didn’t take Wheelchair Rapunzel’s kid for all the neglectful and drunken shit her kid was exposed to you’re likely fine
What is this???? I am missing the story here and want to know the tea lol
I called 911 once bc I couldn’t find my son. As I was on the phone with 911, my son comes out of his room and says I’m right here mommy. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ Never heard from cps. It happens!
I have an autistic child that eloped once before we knew he was autistic. The police were involved and reported it to CPS, but they declined to open a case because there was no evidence of neglect. Then, about a year later, he and I were taking a nap together. I woke up and didn’t see him in the bed. I freaked out and started looking everywhere for him. I called the police. While I was on the phone with them, I looked under my bed. I guess he had decided to sleep under the bed, or fallen off and didn’t wake up. I don’t know. But nothing happened from that incident either. I’m also a mandatory reporter. Having gone through the training, and knowing what I know from both sides, CPS isn’t going to do anything. They might come and interview you, that’s it. They’re not going to drug test you. They’re not going to take your children. You’re going to be fine.
i dont think you will get any problems. HOPEFULLY they are dealing with actual crime. your are doing great. this will be a funny story some day verrryyyyyy long from now 😁
I did say she got her first mugshot lol and I’m not suprised she was the first one I had to call the cops on lol
We’ve had the cops called on my son a few times when he was younger for the tantrums he’s thrown. Yelling out the windows screaming, lol. CPS has never been called as far as I know. Kids are punks, lol.
Lesson: don't call the cops on yourself
Yeah that’s not the lesson here and I would do it again if I ever had that type of fear for my child again.
