Stalker 2 is getting a new DLC and engine update on the 20th of August (if I'm not mistaken). I would personally wait and experience Stalker with better performance. My vote is for BG3
Would i need to buy the DLC or is it free?
I already own both of these games so its not a "Should i buy this game" its just a which game should i play first?
Im a very indecisive person and ive heard a lot of great things about both of these games. I love the metro and fallout games and ive heard stalker is a mix of the two games so i feel id like it. But ive also heard a lot of great things about Baldurs gate 3, but ive never played a top down game before, and ive never played DND. Im not going to let that stop me though as i feel id quite enjoy a game with the freedom ive heard baldurs gate 3 gives you. I also loved all of The Witcher games which are also fantasy so i feel id like the fantasy part of it too.
Right now i feel i want to play both games equally and im just indecisive. Which do you guys think i should play first?

S2 has a big ol’ update and DLC coming out later in August. So boot up BG3 in the meantime, see if it sticks, and if so, once you get to S2 it’ll perhaps be patched and in a better place.

I’m thinking since you own both but you’ve played Metro and Fallout already you should switch it up with BG3 for 100+ hours and then, all wiped out go back to a tried tested and true FPS
I think you should boot one of them up and start playing. Right now I'm playing Divinity Original Sin 2 for two days then I switch to Elden Ring for one or two days. This way I keep my skills sharp in each and I avoid burnout in both.
How do you live divinity compared to bg3? I’m tempted to buy it after i beat bg. It recently “clicked” for me and i have been obsessed for a few weeks
BG3 and easily. BG3 completely just revolutionized a genre...picked it up and set a new standard. Phenomenal game. Once in a gen type of game Stalker 2 is a good fun game, nothing more, nothing less Easy choice imo
I feel i might just play BG3 then if S2 is getting an update that will make the game smoother and may cause problems with existing saves. Thank you everyone for your contributions. :)
I'm not sure if it's a budget issue, but if so, it's worth going back and playing the original STALKER trilogy. You can probably get them for dirt cheap nowadays and they're extremely easy to mod (and probably have some crazy overhaul mods by this point). I haven't actually heard much about how well STALKER 2 follows in the foot steps of its legacy.
