I didn't know what they were until this post. Now I'm hoping that they NEVER show up in my pool.
Recently I’ve been seeing people on Instagram using pool scooters, and they honestly look like a lot of fun. Zipping through the water seems like it would be a nice change from just swimming laps.
Has anyone here actually tried one in a pool? Did it stay fun after the novelty wore off, or did you end up going back to regular swimming pretty quickly?
I’d love to hear what your experience was like.

Zipping around in a speedboat would be fun too. Slightly weird thing to compare to lap swimming. They're completely different things. Do it for fun, sure. But as a replacement for exercise?
Never even heard of them but I know I hate them already
I think I'd rather just go jetskiing (not in a pool!). This is a bit like saying wouldn't it more fun to ride a floating unicorn in a pool instead of lap swimming. I've seen them where I swim - just minding its own business floating. To be honest, underwater scooter is likely not something even where I swim, which is EXTREMELY liberal with equipment, would be impressed with.
i've never tried one myself but i can definitely see the appeal.
To use one of those you better have your own pool. I would quit my gym in a heartbeat if something like that was allowed It maybe fun but it’s a disaster waiting to happen I typical size pools where we swim lap.
