I would argue that visualizing the surroundings when parking (which is the default on cars without ultrasonic sensors) is a much more important missing feature. Grok is also missing which is not horrible but would be nice to have.
That’s fair, although Intel cars with ultrasonic sensors already have distance readings and proximity arcs, so that feature doesn’t feel as missing to me. Grok would still be nice to have.
I don't mind the current 3D view, but in tight quarters it is either overly conservative regarding distance, or mistakes some features as obstacles (puddles, slight elevation changes) and alarms. Usually I need to bring up the camera view to address this. It's particularly bad in tight drive thru lanes. A top-down, Birds Eye view would be better with the proximity heat map projected onto it.
