Help! I dont know what is eating my cabbages. Theyre in a raised box on an already raised floor. I heard squirells dont really go for cabbages but I dont know what else it could be?
What's eating them and what do it do to keep them safe?

That looks like a deer. Some type of herbivore mammal. Woodchuck maybe too
Its not deer. We live essentially on a second fenced in 2nd floor where they cant get to. I've also never seen a rabbit make their way onto the patio.
Can t tell for sure but if it's elevated like the others them would have to be deer , squirrels ... Maybe racoons or possum. But the chili power is the best bet all the same . If you don't grow hot or super hot find some hot powered Habenero level or higher . Can even make a spray.
Looks like it is mature and is splitting. Time to eat it.
