Yes, just peel it. We get the same thing every year on our apples. It's all external.

Yes. I usually only buy Pink Lady apples at the store. This is my first harvest since I've had the tree. And it looked abnormal from the Golden Delicious I've ever seen
Looks like sooty blotch I enjoy apples that look like this from my orchard some varieties get it where I am. I think it’s mostly just a cosmetic disease

I'm a public defender with a homestead BUT was also in the military. Buddy I served with went on to work at the Paris casino in Las Vegas and the whatever..executive chef there became friends with him and they came to visit me a while back. He offered to "buy" this recipe so he could serve it. I make it all the time and never thought it was a big deal.
yeah that gap in spraying during the wet stretch is probably exactly when it took hold, fungus loves that kind of damp window. good news is it's basically cosmetic, texture and taste inside should be unaffected. first year trees especially throw weird stuff like this, it usually gets more consistent once the tree mtures a bit.
Might depend on location, I'm right next to a creek and my apples look like this every year. (Well, when I get apples. The tree doesn't seem to like the damp very much.)
Cut that up, put it in a hot pan with butter and sugar (measure with you're heart). Let cook until it looks delicious. Enjoy!
