  How does it fit across the front? Does it seem like the front is contributing to the problem by pulling further away?

    That’s a good point. I’ll have to try it on again. I thought the front actually felt like it needed to be tighter too. I was thinking maybe in the back they could put darts in on the side to remove the extra fabric. I’ll have to dig up pics of this.   What does the front of the dress look like? Is it made out of a stretchy material? It kinda looks like the dress is super loose right below the bust. Which might be because the person who designed the dress expected there to be a much smaller difference between the bust and the ribcage on the wearer. To fix this, I'd be looking at possibly taking away fabric from the front of the dress to bring in the ribcage below the bust. But I can't be sure that A: this is the problem and B there's a good way to take in the ribcage without seeing the front of the dress. Alternatively it's also possible that the side seams aren't shaped right and that the dress is fitting funny because of that in which case, I'd need to take in the side seams. But again, I'm not sure without seeing the front. Finally it's possible that it's riding up because the waist and hips are too small, which unlike the other problems is not readily fixable. But I can't be sure on that from just seeing the back of the dress.
