What a loss. Still hurts.
Agreed. He was such a kind and inspiring person. I don't think I've ever been so affected by the passing of a famous person.
I appreciate his take on channeling your addictions to better things, or the right things. It's certainly not easy to do but there's some power in this idea. Be addicted to creating, working, bettering yourself, etc. I'm 45 days free from alcohol. I'm loving how I feel and still trying to figure out where to channel my energy and time into more positive habits.

Absolutely agree. I challenged mine into positive outcomes, experiences, learning gym etc. Some clichéd some not. Im 18 months sober plus - today saw my eldest daughter after 18 months over a coffee. She saw the difference. Id not seen her 16 months. We talked gym, politics, how she's getting on. That's rebuilding - she also saw the dad she wanted. It'll take time, but the dark days and pushing - today bore fruit. Gym, work, learning again this week 😀
This is so great! Congrats. I definitely need to add some learning into the mix. I've taught myself to crochet and have been enjoying doing that as a hobby. I also listen to a lot of books on audio.
