i dont see what benefit an interactive map adds vs a traditional search tool with a bunch of tags
I was hoping it helps identify intersecting fields and sparse fields. As well as visualise emerging ones
if you are searching for a paper then probably none over the "traditional" with a good categorization system but i do think that its good for visualizing which stuff have the most papers, where there could be a paper that acts as a bridge between disciplines etc. its also more a fun way to potentially just look for papers to read
