I read Winter's Orbit and Ocean's Echo. I liked them both, but Ocean's Echo was my favourite of the 2.
July ended up being a really solid reading month for me! I finished nine books total, which feels like a win considering I definitely slowed down a bit earlier in the year.
This month was a fun mix: more Dungeon Crawler Carl, queer romance, sci-fi politics, fantasy, cozy chaos, and hockey nonsense. The image has books 20–26, but I also finished This Inevitable Ruin and Parade of Horribles by Matt Dinniman this month, so Carl and Donut were still very much part of July too — Just posted as individuals as they deserved.
Books finished this month:
After spending a lot of time in one series earlier this year, it was nice to branch out a bit while still keeping the Dungeon Crawler Carl momentum going. Some of these were lighter, some had more emotional weight than I expected, and a few were just exactly the kind of fun I wanted at the time.
Overall, I’m feeling good about where I’m at with the challenge. Officially halfway through my goal, and July definitely helped get me back into a good reading rhythm.
Curious if anyone else read any of these! I’d love to hear where they landed for you.
