What did you think of cannery row? I read most of it way back but felt like it was just a meh story and kinda stale? I was much younger though and am interested to pick it back up down the line
The note before by Steinbeck hand explaining that it wasn’t much of a story vs a look into characters life helped me a ton. There really isn’t much of a story. Just poor people living happy lives with what they have. I loved it for what it was, but it wasn’t exactly gripping
