Good morning, total newbie here. Just planning out my final hose setup and was planning on using a quick disconnect from the brew kettle to a silicone hose to feed into a small pump to push through a heat exchanger for rapid cooling. I noticed that the pump quick connect matched up with the kettles, so my question for y’all is, is it dumb of me to hook the pump directly to the brew kettle or should I stick to my original plan to add a foot or two of silicone hose between the two? I have the ball valve on the little that I’d open to prime the pump, then a switch to flip it on. Any and all help is greatly appreciated! https://reddit.com/link/p1291kd/video/o9np7yzggrgh1/player
The video isn't working for me but I'd likely use a hose in between as the pump may need to be oriented a certain way to operate properly.
