Good starter base, make sure to set up turret automation, and place a small amount of pipes in the wild where you plan to get resources. The biters dont expand directly on you, so you can slow their expanison/direct it, via putting clusters of pipes in wild, early game, buying you time and space, for you to set up walls and turrets, and get oil for flamethrower. that is key to survival long game, especially if you leave planet, you need to ensure your defenses, can handle your absence, flamethrower are practically free to fuel just needing oil, but you can refine it to make it more efficent/do more damage.
A lot of things can be upgraded in-place, like stamping a blue inserter over a yellow one, a red belt over yellow, or steel furnaces over stone. Burner drills have to be removed to replace them with electric drills+poles, though.

First, don't do "miner-furnace". They produce at different rates, so it's a little better to decouple them. Have miners output a belt of ore, and then furnaces to smelt the ore. This also means you can combine that ore with coal to fuel the furnaces, either in a mixed belt or two belts.
Second, don't worry too much about optimizing your layout just yet. You'll get better tools later, and learn from experience how to do it. Just keep on trucking with what works right now.
If you build a bit more spread part, you'll not need to move things too much.
After you get enough research done, you will reach a point where you decide the entire base is obsolete or just to be entirely restructured for better output. This is normal to do this a few times. I think less normal to do it only once. Carrying the starter base to endgame is not practically possible because of the tech you unlock along the way. My advice is to just be aware of this, because it takes a lot of pressure off of getting it perfect. If it works don’t sweat it because it WILL change. Also the bots will make such rebuilds a lot less tedious so don’t get too worried about that either. Once more tidbit, always build the new base before tearing down the old one. Because trying to cram it all into chests kinda sucks, and then not having the support to build new components to support the new build sucks even more.
First off as I tell everyone, notice that you have unviewed tips (under the graduation cap in the upper right of the screen). Likely there will be ideas for belts and inserters you've not seen yet. More tips get unlocked as you play. If you like the map but want to start over, likely you can take the map key from an auto-save, or just save the game, and start a new game with the same map. Every restart with better ideas makes for a better playthrough. As a tip for removing a lot of items, you can hold down the mouse button to delete an item, and while still holding it down move over additional items. This makes removing belts and rows of inserters a bit easier.
