So i've been using a Mac Pro 5'1 for multiple years. Unfortunately it has finally died. I was using it for a multitude of things including video editing on final cut pro , and I was starting to learn logic pro before it finally gave it's last breath.
I need something that can pick up its workflow without exceeding my budget of 250€.
Of course I am open to buying used

i think you're out of luck, you can try to find a macbook air but you'll have to wait a while for one to pop up around that price range
That's unfortunate... Would an Intel Mac be any good? Tbh the software support aspect doesn't really matter to me that much as I am coming from a 5'1
What’s wrong with it? Your best bet in that price range might be to get it fixed up and keep saving until you can get an M series chip.
It keeps shutting down with the CPU OVTMP diag lights and I am going crazy! I did all the fixes I could find and eventually it will shut down, sometimes earlier sometimes later It's a real shame as I really do love it but I don't want to spend so much time fixing it over and over again Also it has started showing it's age, 16 years is a lot of time!
M1 13 inch Pro M2 13 inch Pro, M1 Air, M2 Air, M1 Mini, M2, Mini, try going 16/512 but if you cant go 16/256 and if you cant go 8/256 most of these will be higher then the budget and the ports are mostly thunderbolt
You could potentially look at Apple Finance on a new Mini. Or look at getting an M2 Mini second hand / renewed from somewhere. What country are you from?
I live in germany I would prefer a macbook tbh but I'll take what I can get, especially because I'm coming from a tower
If your Mac Pro suited you, you could also find an identical one for a few dozen euros and recycle the RAM and hard drives from yours. And maybe take the opportunity to replace a hard drive with a SATA SSD if you haven't already done so. Until you have the budget for an M2 (or M4) Mac mini.
But does it make sense to invest into a 16 year old machine? Just wondering
