My cockie is mid-molt right now, so we're definitely in the molting time of the year. That is probably the most accurate reason for what's going on with your lovie. However, since he is a rescue, he might benefit from a well-bird visit to your avian vet, and your peace of mind will benefit from the vet's all-clear. He's a cute little guy!
