Personally I think the Cosmere RPG is an odd choice. Earthborne Rangers is so very narrative (the first mission is delivering biscuits to hungry citizens of the valley), and the Cosmere RPG while it has some interesting mechanics is still fairly traditional, or at least a neo trad RPG. I would have seen it in something more akin to Legends in the Mist, Grimwild, Cypher or Cortex Prime. i do appreciate they're designed by the same designer which makes me less concerned though! It's a beautiful board game.
Cypher is also a pretty traditional RPG, but yeah, I agree. If Fate was still being invested into, I could it being a good candidate for a system for this game.
