How do you define what makes it good?

As the title states, i'm looking to buy my first tripod and i see a lot of the brand 'Hama' on vinted with some good looking and relatively cheap 2nd hand tripods (Around 10 euros) and since there's so many of that specific brand, I'm wondering if its a good brand with decent quality for the price?
If there's anything i should know about tripods before i buy one, or if you have any tripod recommendations please let me know! My budget isn't very big so I'm looking to buy 2nd hand.
I mostly do street/city photography and eventually want to dabble in landscape and wildlife, i use a Sony a6300.

Knowing the budget you are working helps, even if it is not a whole bunch. We can better recommend something in your price range.
Idk if its something we can work with, but im not really looking to spend more than 30-40 bucks at the moment. If its better to run without a tripod and save up a month, i can do that too!
People purchase these tripods new because of the price, and quickly find out they are shite and offload them. #1 item in garage sales.
Gotcha, are there any tripods you personally recommend? Budget or not budget, i can see if i can save up.
Buying a used tripod is a smart idea, but I would avoid Hama or other low level „brands“. My personal suggestion is to talk to someone you know and who does photography for a few years. It’s highly likely that she or he has more than one tripod which you could buy or rent.

Hama is basically a brand that sells all kinds of budget stuff, similar quality to "Amazon Basics". If they are available in your region, I can personally recommend Cullmann tripods, I've been happy with mine and at least in Germany, they are very well priced. Otherwise, the chinese tripods from brands like K&F Concept, Rollei or Sirui are not too bad either.
Had my Manfrotto 055 since 1997, you get what you pay for.
