I definitely agree with you. It’s crazy how awful drop zones are when you’ve hit the enough. At first they are fun and relaxing. After 100 games I’m just honestly tired. Every drop zone game ends with 17 teams in the 4th circle. Everyone is hiding behind a rock. Just hate that game. If people hot drop and instantly die then it’s their problem, has happened to all of us and you learn to drop faster, or drop smarter, or think faster on the ground etc… they took out the excitement of playing ranked tbh.
17 teams in 4th circle sounds amazing. Guess we all have different tastes the way ranked should be.
17 teams in zone 4 is exactly what I live for. There is not a single more thrilling thing than winning under these circumstances, and it's exactly why I love apex and comp so much
Imo end games are infinitely more exciting than the drops. Having 5-6 teams in the final zone is exhilarating and that’s typically what I’ve seen in platinum/diamond when you start getting drop zones
Exactly. It’s removing a lot of agency and to compensate you have to slow down your playstyle. Which to me isn’t fun or Apex. Just standing around or looting until you hear a fight because starting almost certainly opens you up to being ambushed by everyone else who is standing around or looting waiting to hear shots. It doesn’t reward fraggers anymore. It’s rewarding snipers, campers, and rats.
