Our 9 week old came down with RSV on Monday, it started slow then built to all the scary stuff.
Fever, chest retractions, deep cough. We took her to the ER twice but oxygen was only mildly low. She’s been on Tylenol on and off for fever and discomfort but when does this shit end!?
Her fever is better but the cough is worse and constant, the mucous comes and goes. She’s not her happy self and it’s heartbreaking to watch.
Day 6 now….tell me it’s over soon.
When did the “main” pain and symptoms start to end for your little? I know the cough will carry on for days or weeks I’ve heard.

We were hospitalised for nine days with RSV with my ex micro premie daughter. They usually say days 3-5 are the peak of an illness and then it should improve. Hopefully you’re nearly there!
I’m hoping since she wasn’t even hospitalized the day she had chest retractions that were in the clear now as far as that goes. Every morning I think she’ll wake up better surely…then just starts crying and coughing immediately instead of her usual cheerful smiles on waking. So heartbreaking and exhausting!
Viruses typically last 10-14 days. You are almost there mama.
