TL;DR: how make fantasy illustration in Blender? Can make everything inside Blender? What need? Where learn? (Why waste time say lot word when few word do trick)
Hey all, could someone point me in the direction of a set of tutorials or learning resources for something?
I am making a D&D adventure book and I'd like to create some illustrations for it myself (in the style of the pictures posted) but my work in Blender in the past was completely different from that - corpo animations, explainers, Eevee stuff mostly.. so I have absolutely no idea how the workflow for something like this would look!
Is there a tutorial (or a set of tutorials) that tackles this in particular? I was not able to find something that covers the general workflow and approach to this.
Is it possible to make this without leaving Blender? If not, what software would I need (I have access/subscriptions to most popular software, but I am trying to get away from Adobe)
My modeling skills are on a fairly high level, kitbashing mileage is high, the main problem here would be shading and a possible paintover.
Any direction or help is welcome, thank you in advance! (also, I am not limited to free resources - paid courses, masterclasses, online lessons etc. are an option)

If it's in the style of the pictures posted, I won't say it's strictly impossible to do totally inside Blender, but it's going to be far more complicated than doing a blockout for lighting and perspective reference and then doing a paintover, which would be a far more typical workflow.
If you want to do it totally in Blender, the new Paint Filter compositor node group is worth experimenting with, along with the Brushstroke Tools: https://studio.blender.org/training/stylized-rendering-with-brushstrokes/get-started-using-brushstroke-tools/
Thank you very much - both for the reply and the link, I will check it out!
There is a paint filter now? Nice.
Freestyle Render or Grease Pencil with Kuhawara Filter in Composition can give very good Results but you still need to draw over it after.
Thanks, I will check those things/that workflow out! Yeah, I am not against drawing over it, if it is needed
