The thing is, he works from home. So on my days off work, he's mostly in his room working, while I'm in other room doing my hobbies. Sometimes we're in the same room just doing our stuff, and it's fine. We like the company.
But there are days where we go to bed at the end of the day, and he tells me, that he doesn't feel loved today. And I know it isn't about sex.
It's also worth mentioning that I'm autistic, so I might not see that something is wrong right away. But I tell him I love him regularly, I help with the chores, like doing the dishes, walking the dogs, etc.
Throughout the day I come to him, and hug him, to show that I'm here. I share some info I read online that he might find entertaining to listen to, and he shares what's going on at his job, and what his friends are doing.
I do buy him gifts sometimes. Obviously for any occasion like his birthday or christmas, but on regular days some small gifts as well. I buy him flowers that he can put into our little home garden, and take care of because out of us two he's the one who likes gardening more.
When I'm off work I bring him food sometimes (it's unhealthy as hell so not really often). And it is my first relationship ever, so maybe I'm just not sure what I'm supposed to do more? I love him very much I just don't know how to show it.
We go on dates once a month to our favourite restaurant but it's getting expensive, and we're struggling with money right now. I don't know where else I could take him? How do I show someone that I love them? Or what gifts do I buy? I don't want him to feel neglected.
**TL;DR;** : I'm just autistic, and don't know how to show love
