Well it makes sense to release family movies when you’re likely to have a big family gathering around thanksgiving
Don't film distributors have a strategy for this stuff? Like, these films got the Thanksgiving to Christmas slot (then replaced by the Christmas releases). This has always been a popular slot for animation and dramas (Zootopia 2 came out last year in November). Then as the films became more popular, they moved to the summer slot - That's when the huge tentpole blockbusters get released.
Why is a til? Til i learnt that the first star wars trilogy was released in May.

Jeeesus, I took this literally. I thought Disney was releasing animated movies about the Renaissance. Like *Leonardo and Mona Lisa* or something about Botticelli and the *Birth of Venus.* LOL.
