Hii guys, I would love outsider opinions! The issues of finances are always so awkward. But, here's the breakup. We both work, I'd say he makes 2-3x my salary. He pays for all his own bills, car, house, utility etc. We don't technically live together, as he's never popped that question. But he'll always comment how I don't have any bills and act cheap. Now what I've contributed: I buy groceries, cook, and do the dishes after. (In my mind i feel like that's what i contribute for meals). I also buy any item he says we need from the store if I go. Also, he will sometimes send me pricey items $100-200 dollar items and ask for me to buy them which I do with no objections. NOW: my main issue is when we go to eat out for meals he's often times made remarks about how cheap I am for not reaching for the check. I'd say that we eat out 20% of the time. Should I be taking offense to this? Also, its not like I never pick up the check but if i don't pick it up I don't want to hear that I'm cheap nor do i think it's fair. but please ofc be honest!
