My left thumb is in pain from the "bass thumb"😂 what a token of battle. Casted far out with a buck tail jig, just did my first long dragging action instead of a twitch and boom it devoured the lure. A solid 1min plus fight with the peacock jumping, dashing even escaping my grip when I tried to land it. My drag was screaming and it was quite tight, my rod was tipping like crazy and it's a medium action rod. Thankfully the hook stayed strong and I managed to land my biggest peacock bass. Have been fishing for three years now and every fishing trip still excites me like a kid! Every story behind every trip always sounds like "the old man and the sea" to me AHAHAHA.
