It’s officially been exactly a year since I fell into depression. Up until now, I haven’t improved; if anything, I’ve hit complete rock bottom.
But today, August 1st, 2026, marks the beginning of the rest of my life.
I’m locking this in as a time capsule to open exactly one year from now, on August 1st, 2027.
Hello, me from the future. It’s your past self speaking, specifically, the version of you from August 1st, 2026.
By the time you open this in 2027, here is what we were determined to achieve over the past year:
Get my driver’s license.
Lose my virginity, not just for the sake of it, but to prove to myself that I’m no longer afraid of intimacy.
See The Weeknd live in concert.
Finish my first year of university.
Fix everything that has been haunting me over the last two years.
Stay consistent at the gym and transform my physical appearance.
Stop self-sabotaging.
Achieve a full year of NoFap.
Future me, I hope you’re reading this from a completely different headspace. We start today.
