And why would you want a "desinfected" soil?
Good afternoon plant community! I've only been an indoor plant parent since January so forgive my ignorance. This is my second bag of potting soil bought from a local nursery. I stored it in this container so both bags were exposed to the same conditions. The only difference is on the second bag, I added cinnamon and perlite in the mix. I was going to repot my bromeliads this afternoon but as soon as I opened the container I saw this. I looked it up and people say it's normal, but the mold in pictures looked thin and thready. This one is a mountain and it looks crystallized. I'm currently drying it under this brutal Texas sun. Is this still safe to use indoors after it dries out? Thank you for the help!

Looks fine, mold isn’t bad, it helps break down organic material in soil
Slid the tray in the sun with the top off for a bit.
Fungi are one of the most important life’s on the planet and your soil will always contain it many are beneficial to plants. Once you kill this one and start using the soil keeping moist another will take its place. all a big waste of time.
Mold is not harmfull at all. But it shows when there's a lot of consistent moisture. Only if there's consistent moisture mold can thrive. But yeah - it's actually not bad. It even helps break down dead plant material and stuff
Mix the mold into the soil & let it be. It's organic material that is beneficial to the soil -it just shows there's a lot of moisture.
