Ginkaku and Kinkaku are wasted potential.. They have a better back backstory than 95% of the manga.

Could have been a better and more important fight. This arc is famously terrible for all these rush through fights happening at the same time with the reanimated. Better to have less but better done
Lend me some chakra Kyubi, this is war arc Darui and Ino we're up against.
They get so much insane hype (5 Tools are > Gokage, surviving Kurama, A wants to join the battle when they appear, etc.) but they just feel like jobbers and are ultimately plot devices for Obito to revive the Ten Tails prematurely. I grant they weren't taking things seriously, but when they started losing there can be no excuses. Even Kinkaku's 6-tailed Version 6 form taking on an entire Division of the Alliance just doesn't have any impact because it's completely off screened. Shame, I was hype for them and their lore and powers are dope as fuck in my opinion. Plus their look, they some cool designs and Kumo is just awesome. Also, they didn't kill the Second Raikage, they ambushed his treaty meeting and left him and Tobirama on the brink of death during the encounter but they both survived. They later killed Tobirama in a separate incident during the First Shinobi World War as apart of the Kinkaku Force.

Isn't this still debated? When they were revived they assumed they were revived by the 2nd Hokage, which doesn't make any sense if they were the ones who killed him.

This is another debate too isn't it? I don't think anything ever actually says they led the Gold and Silver unit, and some people speculate the Kinkaku force was actually a unit to hunt and kill Kinkaku.
