After Kuma's is there even a debate?
I can say Loki. But the context would shift largely.
I have been thinking this for a while now, and I have not reached a clear pick. But who would you nominate for the best one piece backstory?

I saw a good argument for Sanji's backstory being the best of the strawhats. So I'll nominate his for the sake of discussion. Though it is pretty obviously gonna be Kuma.
It's really hard to top Noland and Fisher Tiger's because they are both such great reflections on real questions its worth thinking about...but I think Oden's outdid it for me because of the Retainers. Just the way it plays with its ideas. The samurai were renowned later but kinda never stopped being seen as uncouth ruffians before the fall. The hopes people placed on Oden and how he refused that call for another. Even the way it kinda plays with Oden being a not completely reliable narrator. That one did something special.
