The Topo's are too narrow for one of my feet as well. Too bad, because I really like the feel of them otherwise.

Just got both and went with the Altras
With the Altras you basically feel barefoot. Extremely comfortable, fits perfectly right out of the box.
Topo is also great quality. You can feel it in the materials, the sole, and the interior finish. But the midfoot and the bottom of the heel feel narrow to me, a bit squeezed. I’m guessing that’s just how they designed it.
Every footwear post says the same thing: “go with whatever feels most comfortable on your feet.” I know the Topos might loosen up after a few km, but the Altras felt amazing the second I put them on.
Testing them on trails next week and I’ll update here. Returning the Topos in two days. If anyone has thoughts on that narrow heel and midfoot, drop them below.

I went through three pairs or Altras and now have my first set of topos (ultraventure). For me, it really is a trade off of durability vs fit. Altras fall apart faster for me but fit slightly better. Topos have been super durable, but a bit tight at the achilles/heel and pinky.
The new Lone peaks? And how long you used them? You are one step ahead of me :)
Altra makes other models besides Lone Peaks which can be much more durable.
I bought the wide ultraventures and they are ok for shorter runs, for long runs and hikes it digs into my arch and causes pain. I got the wide lone peaks after that and they fit my feet nicely but they truly have zero arch support so I'm using custom insoles.
