I wouldn't risk using it. Once that membrane goes you can't tell and there's nothing worse than getting sick on the trail. They're not too expensive, I'd just replace it
Hi all I'm preparing for a bikepack trip and bought a Sawyer squeeze brand new 2 ish years ago and it's sat in storage since. I'm testing it out and its got a small drip from the middle of the body of the filter, not either of the threaded connections.
I assumed that when they say they can't freeze that meant while it was wet kind of like a water line bursting. Could it being brand new in the box and being in freezing temps in my garage have broken it? Or is it just old? Do I use it anyway?
