People don’t necessarily have to have done something, could be OCD, paranoia or they just do it for the principle

These comments are insane. It's not weird to want your account deleted, it's very weird that people are expecting you to be ok with a company stealing your information
What information could Duolingo have that is of concern? If anything it's linked with your social media account that has all the private data.
