Wasn’t my favourite I’ll be honest. It wasn’t bad or anything but if this is anything like the new album I’ll be worried
Better than most of the recent stuff, but I have some issues with it. Seems like they’re trying to replicate their older style without some of the classic inflections so it feels a little bit derivative. They also use a lot of newer type beats which may excite people that aren’t tapped in because it’s fresh, but they’re really basic compared to the other stuff like them that’s out right now. I’d love for Uzi to hop on some really crazy beats, not generic jerk beat #100000
I agree with you a lot. I feel like on the songs where he adds something new or the beats are unique like Yoko and Poured are where he is at his best. The highs on this EP are actually quite high which is a pretty good sign though
“Y’all must’ve forgot” the album. He’s back
too bad he forgot his lolla set lol
I listened to “Maverick Intro”, which has a fire beat, but I didn’t finish the rest of the EP yet. I don’t think it will live up to EA though
His best work in the last 4years, i guess? The beats where great, the singing too, the flows were on point, I fw the bars. Very surprised in general, he's back I understand why some people are disappointed I guess but y'all gotta understand Uzi NEVER going to be on his 2017 phase. He's older he's richer and he wants to do "different" stuff. Going into an album expecting the same level of Luv is rage or perfect luv tape is making yourself be disappointed on purpose.
His 2020 phase was also incredible. I just want him back to that.
I haven't even heard of this so I guess I gotta check it out
its solid. there's some insane potential for some of these songs, but they never really stick the landing. the hook on the intro is incredible, but the rest of the song is a step down I agree with the other commenter, I think the beats are an issue. they're pretty unadventerous compared to artists like jim legxacy or slayr. there isn't much progression, the rhythm never switches up, there are no "moments" its a bunch of generic beats that uzi has to carry on. and in some pockets, he does. the hook on the intro is incredible. I love the singy section on London. but he's not delivering that performance for the entire song. when the beat is just going thru the motions doing nothing and uzi isn't delivering a killer performance, it gets boring tbh
I’ve probably outgrown his music but there’s no way people are hyping this up. It sounds like a mess and doesn’t sound any different from any other Uzi song.
just chatting. Yoko, London, and Say It Was sound nothing like lol
No songs on there stood out to me like a Bean, Lo Mein, Glock In My Purse, or Lotis. Not bad but I’ll probably have to hear the songs in a vacuum for it to grow on me. Upon listening none particularly grabbed me like the songs I named.
I just wanna know if he used AI or not first before I give it a listen
Some of the best Uzi ive heard in years tbh he sounds confident again just back to having fun with is music Say It Was is incredible. other standouts were London, Poured and Yoko
This motherfucker can't stay on beat
It's alright
