Went to NYC’s Brooklyn Paramount yesterday to see Broken Social Scene, Stars & Metric. Missed Stars completely due to traffic issues on the bus ride to Port Authority. Still had a good time overall, but admittedly I wasn’t happy with how Metric was the headliner. The vibe just felt off to me - I thought that Broken Social Scene would’ve been a better choice for the main act. The Metric show was fine, but radio-ready pop rock coming on after a beloved indie band with dense, complex arrangements….it didn’t seem right to me.

Electric bill makes me want to cry. Our utility company got like three rate hikes over the passed year and it's been so hot this summer. Can't even exist without getting screwed 😞
