Not sure if you're talking about the university or the Eink - Anki, but both were dreams of mine for a long time too. I'm sure your dreams will also happen for you too.
For close on a year I've been running Anki on the Boox Go 2. It works really well and is my main device for reviews. Before buying it I couldn't find many videos showing how well they work together. I've put up a longer video here.

This looks awesome! As a perk behind the scenes: We're working on an e-ink theme (courtesy of Brayan), and there's already a "safe display mode" toggle in the advanced options, which should provide a nicer experience.

Are you able to use the scratch pad? If so, how well does it work? Is it smooth, or does it lag at all?
I have not used the scratch pad as have not needed it for my style of learning. Will post a vid if I use it though

Yes!! That’s how I do most of my reviews. I use a Shanwan controller - (really cheap) if you look at the longer video I linked a few clips have the controller it
