I think just like we can endorse good teammates and opponents, we should should be able to rate the match and the match making. Yeeting yourself from a match to express that you hated your team only hurts everyone else. And there are plenty of reasons to log off a match, e.g. house emergency, important phone call, or taco bell explosive diarrhea. Not even mentioning internet problems.

I wouldn't agree with that. There is a difference between losing an evenly matched game and getting completely rolled, because your team is atrociously bad. Personally I don't care much about winning as long as game doesnt become some competition between your teammates in who gets sent back to spawn point first.
Nah, I don't like easy wins either. If I wanted that, I could play vs AI

Blizzard already knows. They record everything. They can even replay the matches almost perfectly.
Wouldn’t be useful. People are easily biased by results. In fact back in year 1, there was briefly a “rate this match” vote after each game, which i’d guess was removed because it correlated so highly with “did you win?”.
you don't have to guess, jeff kaplan specifically said that people just rated high when they won and low when they lost
Ah. You don’t know about the past. Back in OW1’s early days we literally had this. The data it provided was absolutely fucking useless because all people ended up using it for was “Did I Win? Then good match”. Or “Did I lose, shit match”. Thus becoming utterly pointless as a measuring stick. So no need to relearn this lesson. We’ve already done it. It doesn’t work. Onto the next!

I love watching the sub constantly go, “Why don’t we have this?” And people coming through like “DO NOT RECITE THE DEEP MAGIC TO ME, WITCH!” We really do keep repeating the same cycle. It’s beautiful
In QP this would result in needing to restrict groups, cross play, people from trying newer heroes, etc. since that's what leads to the biggest variance in match quality. It's also what makes quick play what it is.
Rating matchmaking is kinda hard because not even theoretically perfect matchmaking (with data available to the matchmaker) cannot take into count that your support player drank too much and now plays only Mercy.
Yeah like What qualities do players think the matchmaker is using? What qualities could the matchmaker glean? The only thing the matchmaker uses is your SR/rank/ELO. Would you want it using something different than that? Upranking you for some stupid reason?
