unexpected dwarf goober just wont grow i thought theyd both be big boys 160 grams vs 650 both 5 months And the tiny one hates being pet!! he always squeaks when i try 😢 its like he refuses to accept that im his mom unlike the big boy whos super clingly. i think he might be sad that hes tiny or just uninterested in being touched ?

Stunted growth can be a sign of a heart defect. Some babies get a grow spurt, but keep an eye on him and weigh him regularly.
My largest rat ever (900g) was also the most cuddly with humans. The other rats sometimes seemed to pick on him for being so big. My *second* largest rat was the exact opposite and did not like to be petted or picked up. He was fine with human contact *he* initiated, but got dramatic about being scooped or petted. Meanwhile, I just watched our smallest rat try to steal waffle *out of the mouth of the social alpha.* There are no rules at waffle time. In other words, I haven't seen any correlation between nervous about being handled and size in my rats. Check him for medical issues that could be leading to stress, *especially* because his tiny size is unexpected. And of course, if a rat regardless of size is being picked on by his cage mates, that could be a cause too so watch out for that. But also... rats just have very individual personalities. It's one of the things I love about them.
It might be medical? I recently got 2 boys, a week apart. 1 just didn't grow. At one point his buddy was over 100 grams bigger. He also had seizures and a lump on his belly. I was then advised to start feeding him recovery food ( i used harrisons ). And he improved immediately! The seizures and lump are gone and he's now as big as his buddy! We suspect he had a vitamin b12 deficiency. But your other buddy seems a bit big for so young..😬
Yes hes very greedy i have to limit him. not obese just large naturally, but he is a bit fat. i dont really know how to scatter feed for tiny boy without fat boy eating most of it immediately
