Honestly this is more Tesla’s fault for opening v3 superchargers, which were only ever designed with cables to reach Tesla charging ports, to non-teslas. Using two spots like this is explicitly recommended to these such vehicle owners, by Tesla, when using v3 chargers. Sure, perhaps they could have taken the two side by side, but IMO this is a Tesla problem not a driver problem. Drivers shouldn’t have to “think about” the logistics of which spot they’re parking in to charge.

They should technically be next to each other so there’s not a wasted spot between them. Non-Tesla layouts should start at the right end of the row, Teslas should start at the left. That way there is only ever one wasted stall when the two types of cars meet.
