It's the end credit, the light is already on, I can't tell you for sure they don't do this during the movie, but it's the post credits, it's meant to hype up the next movie (i'm not a Marvel fanboy, but no need to shit on people for this)

Unfortunately, here the first weekend of any mass catering movies are like this. We kind of celebrate films. I've grown up watching movies like this so it doesn't really bother me but I can see why it would bother you.
I have noticed that clapping the plane landing is exclusively an Italian thing. I mean Italians from Italy, not people of Italian descent living in Australia or the US. They do it, I don't know why and I don't fkn care. Yeah I agree it's pretty dumb.

I hate Marvel for popularizing the post credit scene. Everyone just standing around like dicks with the lights coming on, for what? A fucking 5 second glimpse into the next mediocre marvel movie? Fuck you. Seriously, fuck you.

People like teasers. They also encourage people to sit through the credits and, generally, people will pay a little bit of attention to them because they have nothing better to do. This means the actual people that worked on the project get a bit of recognition finally. Normally 100% of that recognition goes to the director. You can also just leave if you don't care. I see them as totally positive.

Personally i think it’s a good thing, it makes people actually wait for the credits and gives those who work on the films better visibility, even if only 1 in a thousand people who wait for it even read a credit, that’s more visibility than they’d get otherwise
