Yeah, I think the GoF movie has seen an uptick in popularity once all the films were done and dusted - I suspect due to how bad The Order of the Phoenix (longest book somehow becomes the shortest movie) and The Half-Blood Prince (turns arguably the best book into a teenage romance) were. But in isolation, while there are undeniably some fun moments, it's still pretty awful as an adaptation. I wanted to pull my hair out when 'Moody' stuck his tongue out, basically spoiling one of the series' best surprises.
Even the dialogue is rushed, like, Crouch and Dumbledore say their lines super quickly. I agree. They also spent time giving each school an entrance for literally no reason. It felt fake an inauthentic
I liked order when I watched it after not reading the book for about a year. Goblet was just an unwatchable steaming mess of garbage.
Its my favorite book in the series, and least favorite of the movies. That being said, some moments still crack me up like Filch's goofy ass limpy run up to Dumbledore's podium
